Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Grade Classroom Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational years. This energetic educator will create a Waldorf inspired, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, innovative teaching strategies, an openness to outdoor education and arts integration, and a commitment to student development to foster academic success and social-emotional growth for children in early childhood education settings.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Waldorf education curriculum standards for early childhood education, including literacy, math, and social studies.</li><li>Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, creating a safe and respectful environment.</li><li>Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments.</li><li>Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with special needs or those requiring additional intervention, including working with children with autism or in early intervention programs.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development and coordinate curriculum development efforts.</li><li>Incorporate physical education activities and library services into daily routines to promote well-rounded growth.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and behavioral logs in accordance with education administration standards.</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional development related to Waldorf methods, childhood development theories, or other specialized areas like special education or working with individuals with autism.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.</li><li>Valid Missouri teaching license or certification for primary grades</li><li>Proven classroom experience working with young children in educational settings; private school experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.</li><li>Experience integrating learning technology into classroom instruction to enhance student engagement.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education and math.</li><li>Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and an inclusive environment.</li><li>Ability to adapt lessons for students with diverse needs including special education requirements or working with children with autism.</li><li>Proficiency in proofreading, writing skills for lesson plans and reports, as well as familiarity with standardized testing procedures.</li><li>Waldorf education experience preferred.</li><li>Join us as a Primary Grade Classroom Teacher to make a meaningful impact on young learners&rsquo; lives!
