Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Grade Classroom Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their foundational years. This energetic educator will create a Waldorf inspired, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Waldorf education curriculum standards for early childhood education, including literacy, math, and social studies.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, creating a safe and respectful environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with special needs or those requiring additional intervention, including working with children with autism or in early intervention programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development and coordinate curriculum development efforts.
- Incorporate physical education activities and library services into daily routines to promote well-rounded growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and behavioral logs in accordance with education administration standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to Waldorf methods, childhood development theories, or other specialized areas like special education or working with individuals with autism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Valid Missouri teaching license or certification for primary grades
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in educational settings; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience integrating learning technology into classroom instruction to enhance student engagement.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education and math.
- Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and an inclusive environment.
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with diverse needs including special education requirements or working with children with autism.
- Proficiency in proofreading, writing skills for lesson plans and reports, as well as familiarity with standardized testing procedures.
- Waldorf education experience preferred.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
