The HR Assistant will be responsible for the daily functions of the HR department&rsquo;s front desk. This position provides a high level of customer service to employees and the general public. This position works closely with the HR Specialist and HR Manager.This list may not include all tasks and/or knowledge which may be expected of the employee, nor does it cover all specific duties which may be required. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Assist with coverage of the HR front desk, providing a high level of internal and external customer service.</li><li>Answer phone calls, emails and greet in-person visitors.</li><li>Handle incoming and outgoing mail.</li><li>Provide clerical and administrative support to HR, including records management.</li><li>Proctoring online exams for Police, Fire and Dispatcher candidates.</li><li>Assist HR Specialist with processing seasonal hires and volunteers.</li><li>Assist HR Manager, as needed.</li></ul>Typical Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on exceptional phone and email etiquette.</li><li>Research, fast writing, editing and proof-reading skills.</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google (Word/Excel) applications, and SharePoint.</li><li>Must have the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Extremely detail-oriented and organized.</li><li>Professional, consistent, reliable, proactive.</li><li>Self-motivated, flexible team player with a positive attitude, demonstrate ability to multi-task and the ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong decision-making skills</li></ul>Minimum Age: 18 Hours: 30-40 per weekJob Type: Part-timePay: $17.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 &ndash; 40 per weekWork Location: In person
