Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through the art of dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of movement and performance with a diverse community of learners.Responsibilities<ul><li>Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating techniques such as ballet, theater dance, and other styles.</li><li>Lead engaging dance classes that promote proper technique, coordination, flexibility, and musicality.</li><li>Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, and fostering a supportive atmosphere.</li><li>Provide individualized tutoring and feedback to help students improve their skills and build confidence.</li><li>Organize performances or showcases that showcase student progress and celebrate their achievements.</li><li>Incorporate elements of choreography, costume design, or stage presence into lessons when appropriate.</li><li>Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health guidelines and ensuring proper use of equipment and space.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong background in various dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, or contemporary movement.</li><li>Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different age groups including early childhood education and preschool settings.</li><li>Excellent teaching skills with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.</li><li>Classroom management expertise to create a positive learning environment while handling behavioral challenges effectively.</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education needs to adapt instruction accordingly.</li><li>Skills in working with children, teenagers, or adult learners with patience and enthusiasm.</li><li>Ability to incorporate creative elements such as photography or theatrical performance into lessons when appropriate.</li><li>Experience in childcare or preschool environments is a plus for working with young children.</li><li>Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support student growth and discipline.</li><li>Additional skills in sewing or costume design can enhance performance preparation when needed.
