POSITION SUMMARY Grandview, Missouri is a first tier suburb in the KCMO metropolitan area with a population of 25,000. Grandview Firefighter-Paramedics respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, urban search &amp; rescue and other calls to protect life and property; participates in all-hazards risk reduction and training; and maintains cleanliness of fire department facilities and readiness of firefighting equipment; holds primary responsibility for the readiness of medical equipment; provides medical treatment at the paramedic level as authorized by the Standard Operating Guidelines of the Grandview Fire Department. The fire department operates a 48/96-hour shift schedule and operates one ALS pumper, one ALS ladder truck and two fully staffed ALS ambulances from three stations.Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Responds to emergency situations and incidents to suppress fires, affect rescues/extrications, participate in searches, mitigate hazardous materials and perform other duties as assigned and capable.</li><li>Operates fire fighting tools, aerial equipment, emergency medical equipment, extrication and rescue equipment and a variety of related tools and vehicles</li><li>Responsible for all patient care (Advanced as well as Basic Life Support) in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, statutes, and protocols</li><li>Participates in on-going technical and physical training to maintain certifications</li><li>Cleans and performs routine maintenance and minor repairs to department facilities</li><li>Participates in fire prevention and safety education/promotional events. Conducts station tours and gives presentations and demonstrates the use of fire suppression and safety equipment</li><li>Assists in documenting incidents and provides incident information to appropriate agencies and supervisor</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Possession of a valid state driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Possess a valid Missouri State Paramedic License or NREMT-P license</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Have completed a CPAT or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.</li><li>Firefighter I &amp; II, hazardous materials awareness and operations, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.</li></ul>PAYStarting at $63,748 annually. Will consider lateral transfers for up to 5 years of service. POSITION SUMMARYThis is a Part Time Recruiting position that supports the full employment life cycle. Join our team as a part-time Recruiter and help shape the employee experience from start to finish! In this role, you&rsquo;ll manage the entire recruitment process&mdash;from sourcing candidates and posting jobs to screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting new hires through onboarding. You&rsquo;ll play an important role in ensuring compliance with City policies and employment laws while creating a welcoming experience for every new team member. This position offers a consistent schedule of 24 hours per week (about three days) and reports to the Human Resources Director.Job Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)<ul><li>Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for City positions.</li><li>Prepare, post, and maintain job advertisements on various platforms in accordance with City policies.</li><li>Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.</li><li>Coordinate and schedule interviews with applicants and hiring managers.</li><li>Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process to provide updates and information.</li><li>Ensure recruitment and hiring practices comply with applicable employment laws and City regulations.</li><li>Assist with preparing offer letters, new hire paperwork, and other onboarding materials.</li><li>Guide new employees through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition.</li><li>Maintain recruitment records and applicant tracking systems with accuracy and confidentiality.</li><li>Collaborate with the Human Resources Director and departmental leadership to anticipate staffing needs and improve hiring processes</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications &middot; Associate&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered&middot; 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or related human resources function&middot; Knowledge of HR policies and practices, with experience using HRIS systems&middot; Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field&middot; Business level written and verbal communication skills in English&middot; Positive, professional demeanor with a strong customer service focus and commitment to fostering a positive work environment&middot; Strong attention to detail&middot; Must pass a background and reference checksPreferred&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field&middot; Prior experience working for a federal, state, county or municipal government&middot; Professional HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.)&middot; Strongly preferred - Knowledge and ability in utilizing graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe, etc.)Pay &amp; Benefits $25.47 - $34.38 hourly, depending on qualifications.
