<p></p><div><p>The City of <b>Richmond Police Department </b>is seeking qualified candidates for the position of <b>Management Analyst, Associate</b> to serve within Central Records. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with departmental records administrators, Office of County Attorney, FOIA Office and DIT document management, platform technology and IT security practice areas, and information IT staff.</p><br>
<br>
As assigned, the incumbent will serve as lead worker, assigning work and monitoring work completion. Incumbents may assist with supervising paraprofessional and support level staff including assisting with performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures.</div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Duties include but are not limited to</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Compile documentation of actions from all areas involved in the handling of any expungement order, and following up with correspondence in response to the order</li><li>
Provide statistical reports derived from records management system either directly or through use of Crystal Reports as needed agency-wide</li><li>
Research incident report errors involving arrests</li><li>
Serve as an assistant records official in the management of legal document archives in conjunction with the Library of Virginia</li></ul></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><p><b>MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment</li><li>
Two years of paraprofessional experience in area related to assignment, such as assisting with program or project administration and management analysis</li><li>
An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification</li></ul><p><b><br>
LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><ul><li>
Some assignments may require a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, and a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver's License within 30 days of hire.</li></ul><p><b><br>

This class provides legal services to the City, its staff, and City Council. Incumbents assist in the oversight and provision of licensed professional legal counsel and representation to the City. Work may include: researching legal issues; providing legal advice and direction; representing the City in litigation; reviewing, processing, and defending claims against the City; reviewing and drafting contracts, documents, ordinances, and City regulations; participating in problem-solving regarding City issues; interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations; and representing the legal department to the community and when attending official meetings. Incumbents serves as a second level or higher supervisors and have middle management level responsibilities. Duties include making interpretive decisions on behalf of the organization regarding the means for executing goals established by City Executives and governing bodies, subject to constraints imposed by available technology and resources. Such interpretive decisions provide context for the work to be accomplished by subordinates supervised within the units managed. Incumbents supervises professional, paraprofessional, and support staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures.<p><b><br>
