RPL, a division of the City of Rochester, MN, is a very busy downtown library and bookmobile (with more than 57,000 cardholders, over 1.8 million of collection use annually and the busiest bookmobile in the state of Minnesota). RPL serves the City of Rochester, Olmsted County, and visitors from all over the world.<br>

<i>The Rochester Public Library seeks an energetic, detail-oriented, friendly person to fill a temporary shelving position. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to set priorities and be flexible while working with occasional interruptions. This individual should work independently, steadily, and efficiently for an extended period of time.&rdquo;</i></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Schedule:</b><b><i> </i></b>This position will work up to 25 hours per week from June - September 2026, based on availability and needs. The hours will be primarily nights (4:00pm-8:00pm) and weekends.<br>
The Library is open until <b>8:00 p.m.</b> Monday&ndash;Thursday and <b>6:00 p.m.</b> Friday&ndash;Sunday.</div><div></div><div><div><b><i><br>

Checking in, inspecting, and routing materials.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned or necessary.</li></ul></div><p></p>

In consideration of the overall amount of physical effort required to perform this position, the work is best described as Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
