<div>Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, performs manual labor to maintain and make repairs to public right-of ways and properties. In addition to using manual hand tools, may be required to operate some equipment and small machinery.
Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Constructs and/or repair streets, alleys, and sidewalks made of asphalt or concrete</li><li>
Constructs and/or repairs storm sewers, catch basins</li><li>
Maintains rights-of-way</li><li>
Sprays pesticides and herbicides</li><li>
Trims trees using a bucket truck</li><li>
Removes brush</li><li>
Mows and brush hogs</li><li>
Trims grass using a weed eater</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting other departments as required.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications &amp; Required Knowledge:<ul><li>
High school graduate or GED</li><li>
Valid Oklahoma Class &quot;D&quot; Driver License<ul><li>
Required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License-Class A or Commercial Driver's License-Class B within six (6) months of hire.</li></ul></li><li>
Knowledge of relevant city, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies</li><li>
Knowledge of hazards and safety regulations relevant to the department</li><li>
Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, and procedures used in maintenance, construction, and repair activities</li><li>
Knowledge of city infrastructure</li><li>
Skill in the operation of light and heavy construction equipment</li><li>
Skill in oral and written communication</li></ul>
