Reduce Your Costs.The OpportunityWe're hiring a Bookkeeper &amp; Payroll Specialist who can confidently wear two hats &mdash; keeping clean QuickBooks books for our bookkeeping clients while running accurate, on-time payroll for a growing portfolio of payroll clients. This is a hands-on, high-trust role with real ownership, real client relationships, and real room to grow as ClearPalm continues to expand.If you love the rhythm of closing the books, the satisfaction of a flawless payroll run, and the variety that comes from working across many industries in a single week &mdash; read on.What You'll DoBookkeeping (QuickBooks):<ul><li>Own a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop</li><li>Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, AP/AR, journal entries, and monthly close</li><li>Produce clean, audit-ready financials and walk clients through what the numbers actually mean</li><li>Catch errors, ask the right questions, and keep messy books honest</li></ul>Payroll (Multi-Client):<ul><li>Process payroll for multiple clients on weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycles</li><li>Onboard new payroll clients &mdash; gathering employee data, setting up deductions, verifying tax IDs</li><li>Manage time-clock data, PTO, garnishments, child support orders, and benefit deductions</li><li>Handle quarterly tax filings, year-end W-2s/1099s, and respond to agency notices</li><li>Be the calm, knowledgeable voice on the phone when a client has a payroll question</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>3+ years of hands-on QuickBooks experience (Online and Desktop both strongly preferred)</li><li>2+ years of payroll experience &mdash; bonus points if you've processed payroll for multiple clients in a service bureau, CPA firm, or PEO/ASO setting</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) &mdash; many of our clients prefer to communicate in Spanish, and you'll use both languages daily</li><li>Comfort juggling many clients without dropping balls &mdash; strong calendars, checklists, and follow-through</li><li>Sharp attention to detail and a real respect for confidential information</li><li>Friendly, professional communication &mdash; written and on the phone</li><li>Problem-solver mindset: when something doesn't tie out, you dig until it does</li></ul>Bonus Points For<ul><li>Experience with Apex HCM, SwipeClock, isolved, ADP, Paychex, or Gusto</li><li>Familiarity with Florida payroll tax rules, workers' comp audits, and 401(k) census/funding files</li><li>QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification</li><li>Prior experience working with insurance, payroll, or accounting firms</li></ul>Why Join ClearPalm<ul><li>Salary: $50,000 &ndash; $60,000 per year, based on experience</li><li>401(k) with company match &mdash; we administer 401(k) plans for our clients, so you better believe we take care of our own team</li><li>A genuinely family-feel office &mdash; small team, no corporate red tape, every voice matters</li><li>Long-term clients and a stable book of business &mdash; you're not chasing churn</li><li>Direct mentorship from the owner and the senior team (Jos&eacute;, Estrella, and Kandace)</li><li>Real growth path as we expand the bookkeeping and payroll arms</li><li>Modern tech stack (QuickBooks, Apex HCM, SwipeClock, Human Interest) &mdash; we invest in the right tools</li><li>A workplace where honesty, friendship, and doing right by the client come before sales pressure</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Location<ul><li>Full-time, remote position</li><li>Monday&ndash;Friday, standard business hours (with flex during quarter-end and year-end crunch)</li></ul>How to ApplyApply directly through Indeed with your resume and a short note telling us:<ul><li>How many clients you've handled at once (bookkeeping or payroll)</li><li>Which payroll platforms you've used</li><li>What you're looking for in your next role</li></ul>We read every application personally.
