Department: Clinton County Job &amp; Family Services- Family Services UnitReport To: Family Services Administrator or Supervisor Employment Status: Full-TimeClassification: Classified (Non Exempt)Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 7:30 a.m.&ndash;4:30 p.m. Base Pay Rate: $19.18/hour Probationary Period: 365 DaysAbout the RoleThe Family Services Case Manager plays a key role in supporting individuals and families in Clinton County by determining eligibility for public assistance programs and helping customers navigate services that promote stability and self-sufficiency. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with individuals who may be facing difficult circumstancesWhat You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>&middot; Conduct interactive interviews to determine eligibility for programs such as Ohio Works First, Medicaid, and SNAP.</li><li>&middot; Gather and verify required documentation; compute budgets and make eligibility determinations.</li><li>&middot; Use the Ohio Benefits system and other software platforms to manage and monitor cases.</li><li>&middot; Process case changes, schedule appointments, release medical cards, and respond to alerts.</li><li>&middot; Complete family assessments, provide referrals to community resources, and explain program rights and responsibilities.</li><li>&middot; Investigate and process fraud cases, overpayments, and underpayments.</li><li>&middot; Assess employability, determine work participation requirements, assign work activities, and track compliance.</li><li>&middot; Prepare accurate, timely documentation, including reports, forms, narratives, and correspondence.</li><li>&middot; Participate in county conferences, state hearings, and court proceedings when required; collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.</li><li>&middot; Attend meetings, trainings, and workshops to stay current on policies and procedures.</li><li>&middot; Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications&middot; High school diploma or GEDAdditional Requirements<ul><li>Valid Ohio Driver&rsquo;s License, liability insurance, and reliable transportation.</li><li>Ability to pass background checks: BCI, FBI, SACWIS, BMV, and drug screening.</li><li>Regular, reliable attendance.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Training, education, or experience in public assistance or a related field</li><li>&middot; Strong communication and organizational skills</li><li>&middot; Experience using computers and software programs</li><li>&middot; Basic math proficiency</li><li>&middot; Ability to work effectively with individuals in challenging situations</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement)</li><li>Paid time off &amp; holidays</li><li>Paid training and professional development opportunities</li><li>A supportive team committed to making a difference</li></ul>Pay: From $19.18 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
