Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic cardiology office. This position is perfect for healthcare professionals looking to contribute their expertise while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.Duties<ul><li>Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations focused on cardiovascular health.</li><li>Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as echocardiography, sonography, and cardiac catheterization procedures.</li><li>Administer medications and injections, including IV infusion</li><li>Coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and follow-up appointments utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Practice fusion or EPIC</li><li>Provide triage support by evaluating urgent cases via telehealth or in-person visits, ensuring timely intervention.</li><li>Support clinical research initiatives related to cardiology and participate in quality improvement projects aligned with NCQA standards.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with valid certification to practice in the state.</li><li>Experience working in cardiology or related fields such as internal medicine or critical care; familiarity with hospital medicine or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and utilization review processes for accurate documentation and billing.</li><li>Strong clinical skills including physical examinations, medication administration, venipuncture, IV insertion, and sterile technique.</li><li>Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with hospital or ICU environments preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for patient education, health coaching, and collaboration with physicians and specialists.</li><li>Additional skills such as sonography, pulmonary function assessment, or esthetic laser treatment are advantageous but not required.
