Part time NP for cardiology office

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic cardiology office. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations focused on cardiovascular health.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as echocardiography, sonography, and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Administer medications and injections, including IV infusion
• Coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and follow-up appointments utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Practice fusion or EPIC
• Provide triage support by evaluating urgent cases via telehealth or in-person visits, ensuring timely intervention.
• Support clinical research initiatives related to cardiology and participate in quality improvement projects aligned with NCQA standards.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with valid certification to practice in the state.
• Experience working in cardiology or related fields such as internal medicine or critical care; familiarity with hospital medicine or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and utilization review processes for accurate documentation and billing.
• Strong clinical skills including physical examinations, medication administration, venipuncture, IV insertion, and sterile technique.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with hospital or ICU environments preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education, health coaching, and collaboration with physicians and specialists.
• Additional skills such as sonography, pulmonary function assessment, or esthetic laser treatment are advantageous but not required.
