Bus Mechanic: Class A or Class B Full-time Location: Waukesha, WI Compensation: Mechanic Up to $40 an Hour Coach USA is currently hiring full-time mechanics to work at our Waukesha, WI Location! Coach USA has a new and exciting career opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic at our Waukesha, WI location. We are looking for an experienced mechanic to repair and inspect company equipment in a cost effective, safe, and timely manner. What We Offer: <ul> <li> Competitive wage based upon experience and certifications. </li> <li> Mechanic class A: Up to $40.00 per hour </li> <li> Mechanic class B: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour </li> <li> Full-time. </li> <li> Paid holidays, vacation and PTO. </li> <li> Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life insurance, 401K). </li> <li> Tool and boot allowance. </li> <li> Uniform provided. </li> </ul> Responsibilities: <ul> <li> Perform basic, routine, and preventative maintenance bus repairs. </li> <li> Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures. </li> <li> Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment. </li> <li> Removal, installation, disassembly, and reconditioning of components of diesel engines. </li> <li> Interprets diagnostic test results accurately. </li> <li> Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans. </li> <li> Collaborates with other diesel mechanics in all operational repairs. </li> <li> Demonstrate skills in advanced testing of all vehicle systems. </li> <li> Participate in maintenance training programs required for job and career development. </li> <li> Completes test drives to make sure all repaired vehicles run correctly and safely. </li> <li> Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely in a maintenance environment. </li> <li> Follow all safety rules and regulations in the performance of work assignments. </li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li> High School Diploma or GED preferred. </li> <li> Be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including outdoors. </li> <li> Class A mechanic -Minimum 5 years' Commercial experience. </li> <li> Charter bus, commercial truck, and diesel repair </li> <li> Class B mechanic- Minimum 1-year commercial experience. </li> <li> Charter bus, commercial truck, and diesel repair </li> <li> Cummins, and Detroit engines </li> <li> Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background check. </li> <li> Familiarity with safety management. </li> <li> Possess your own set of tools to perform maintenance tasks. </li> <li> Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one. </li> <li> Ability to work weekends and holidays. </li> <li> Basic computer skills. </li> <li> Ability to communicate effectively in English. </li> <li> Experience in the transportation industry. </li> <li> Experience in the Motor Coach Industry. </li> <li> Associate degree in diesel technology preferred. </li> <li> Computer diagnostic skills a plus, but training is provided. </li> </ul> Coach USA, would love to discuss your qualifications for this position.
