SEYMOUR JOHNSON AFB COMMISSARYMust be able to pass a background check- no prior feloniesSHELF STOCKER/ Night Shift/ Hours vary/ 6-days a week.Responsibilities and Duties:&middot; Perform shelf-stocking duties in accordance with standards of contract and as directed by the Lead Shelf Stocker&middot; Workers must perform in efficient and productive manner while maintaining quality standards&middot; Observe safety awareness at all times and avoid hazardous working conditions&middot; Use equipment properly at all times&middot; Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and placed in the designated area at the end of each shift&middot; Participate in meetings and training as required&middot; Report all accidents or security incidents to proper authority immediately&middot; Ensure contents of case to be stocked will fit on shelf. Do not stock partial cases.Specific Duties:&middot; Read shelf/merchandise labels&middot; Place merchandise on shelves according to shelf labels/plan-o-gram.&middot; Stage merchandise in correct aisle section if required.&middot; Open cases.&middot; Perform shelf stocking tasks using first in - first out (FIFO) method to include date codes.&middot; Repair shelf labels and place Not In Stock (NIS) labels as needed.&middot; Repair merchandise labels as needed.&middot; Face, straighten and clean all merchandise/display fixtures prior to stocking.&middot; Front merchandise&middot; Remove damaged merchandise from shelf. Place in designated cart.&middot; Place display signs, posters, shelf decorations and other sales media&middot; Break down empty cardboard cases and place in cardboard cart.&middot; Use cardboard cutting tool, as directed, to create tray pack merchandise displays.&middot; Return all stocking equipment to designated area in a neat, clean and orderly manner.&middot; Ensure, when using cutting (box) tools that safety precautions are complied with at all times.&middot; Ensure caution is taken in handling of all merchandise and equipment to prevent any damage.&middot; Perform other tasks assigned by the Lead Worker/Project Manager in order to meet contract requirements and record cases/time in other projects.Required Knowledge Skills and Experience:&middot; Experience working with or supervision of persons with disabilities preferred&middot; Experience in shelf stocking in a commissary/supermarket environment preferred.&middot; Be familiar with product location in warehouse&middot; Understand shelf stocking policies/procedures&middot; Able to pull pallet jack with load of products&middot; Able to work for periods of time without assistance/supervision and complete the duties as described above.&middot; Willing to work flexible hours within a nighttime schedule&middot; Work well with personnel throughout the organization and with military personnel&middot; Lift approximately 50 pounds of weight repeatedly&middot; Work without error under stress of time constraints to complete specific tasks&middot; Demonstrate academic abilities at a level sufficient to perform the duties above.Job Type: Part-timePay: $17.75 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>Evening shift</li><li>Night shift</li></ul>Work Location: In person
