Coffee Roaster &ndash; Specialty CoffeeWe are seeking an experienced Specialty Coffee Roaster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for roasting high-quality specialty coffee beans while maintaining consistency, quality, and flavor standards across different origins and harvests.The ideal candidate must understand that each coffee origin, variety, processing method, and harvest requires a unique roasting approach. The role involves developing and adjusting roast profiles to highlight the best characteristics of each coffee while ensuring consistency between batches.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Roast specialty coffee beans according to quality standards and target flavor profiles.</li><li>Develop, evaluate, and optimize roast profiles for different coffee origins, varieties, and harvests.</li><li>Adjust roasting parameters based on bean density, moisture content, processing method, and seasonal crop variations.</li><li>Conduct cupping sessions and sensory evaluations to assess coffee quality and roasting performance.</li><li>Maintain detailed roasting records and production logs.</li><li>Monitor inventory of green coffee and ensure proper storage conditions.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and calibration of roasting equipment.</li><li>Work closely with quality control and production teams to maintain consistency and continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety requirements.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Proven experience in specialty coffee roasting.</li><li>Strong understanding of coffee origins, processing methods, harvest variations, and roast development.</li><li>Experience with cupping, sensory analysis, and quality control.</li><li>Ability to create and modify roast profiles based on different coffee characteristics.</li><li>Knowledge of roasting software and data analysis is preferred.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to product consistency.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage production schedules.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePreferred Experience: Specialty Coffee Roasting, Roast Profile Development, Cupping &amp; Sensory Evaluation, Green Coffee Handling and Quality Control.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Permanent Contract length: 24 monthsPay: ﷼1,500.00 - ﷼3,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
