Cohen Williams LLP is looking for a Legal Secretary to join our amazing firm! An outstanding candidate must be professional, friendly, efficient, loyal, discreet, organized, and able to work independently with our clients and fellow members of the firm.Learn more about us: https://www.cohen-williams.com/Employment type:<ul><li>Full time, 40 hours per week</li><li>8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday</li></ul>Work location:<ul><li>Remote but must reside within 90 minutes of downtown Los Angeles</li></ul>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Providing a high level of customer service</li><li>Set up macros, database folders</li><li>Calendaring/docketing</li><li>Word and PDF and in proper naming convention</li><li>Maintaining electronic court clips/database files</li><li>Maintaining Master Case List and Conflicts List/Calendar</li><li>Uploading discovery</li><li>Organizing/tracking fee agreements/expert agreements and preparing drafts of same</li><li>Finalizing filings, correspondence, and discovery productions</li><li>Cite checking</li><li>Proofreading</li><li>PDF-ing/attaching exhibits</li><li>Affixing e-signatures</li><li>Bates-stamping</li><li>Filing and serving pleadings</li><li>Mailing/E-mailing/Shipping case-related documents (e.g., discovery or correspondence)</li><li>Scheduling state court hearings, VTCs, Court Calls</li><li>Calling courts/clerk&rsquo;s office re filing and procedures</li><li>Ordering transcripts/state court documents</li><li>Handling notices of appearance and pro hac vice applications (including certificates of good standing and ECF registrations)</li><li>Assisting recruiting team with recruiting functions</li><li>Notetaking at firm meetings (when necessary)</li><li>Creating shell pleadings/inputting information into Macros/Templates</li><li>Creating shell engagement letters</li><li>Performing other related tasks as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Ability to prioritize and multitask</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Great organizational skills</li><li>Positive attitude</li><li>Strong computer skills/troubleshooting</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Health, Dental, and Vision insurance</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (Preferred but not required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>8+ years of litigation is required (civil and criminal is preferred)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per yearEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
