This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.Duties<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment</li><li>Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry</li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical privacy</li><li>Manage patient records electronically using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history and treatment plans</li><li>Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care</li><li>Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices in a friendly, professional manner</li><li>Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements</li><li>Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting is highly preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is a plus</li><li>Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices accurately and safely</li><li>Experience with chairside assisting in four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards for accurate documentation of medical records and billing</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages, especially pediatrics</li></ul>Join us in delivering outstanding dental care while advancing your career!
