We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and scale our accounting and financial operations.Position OverviewThe Controller will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong leadership skills, and direct NetSuite experience to manage and optimize our financial systems.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations</li><li>Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting</li><li>Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP</li><li>Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization policies, asset tracking, and accurate depreciation (book and tax) schedules</li><li>Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures</li><li>Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements</li><li>Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews</li><li>Own and optimize NetSuite system functionality, reporting, and workflows</li><li>Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making</li><li>Supervise and develop accounting staff</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance required</li><li>CPA strongly preferred</li><li>10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility</li><li>Direct, hands-on NetSuite experience (required - candidates without this will not be considered)</li><li>Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role</li><li>Strong experience managing fixed assets, including depreciation methods, capitalization policies, and audit-ready asset schedules</li><li>Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting</li><li>Experience in multi-state or multi-entity environments is a plus</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills</li></ul>Why Join Edge Auto Rental<ul><li>Employee Ownership (ESOP)</li><li>Leadership role with high visibility and impact</li><li>Opportunity to help scale a growing organization</li><li>Health, dental, and vision benefits</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Pay: From $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
