Position Summary</div><div>
The National Accounts Strategy Partner plays a key role in driving growth and execution across our largest retail customers. This role combines strategic analysis, sales support, and cross-functional project management to strengthen customer partnerships, improve operational efficiency, and deliver insights that enable the National Accounts team to win in market.</div><div></div><div><br>
Acting as a bridge between sales, commercial strategy, marketing, and field execution, this individual will own critical reporting processes, develop actionable business insights, and support the team with tools and presentations that elevate customer engagement and performance tracking.</div><div></div><div><br>
Key Responsibilities</div><div>
National Account Support</div><ul><li>
Partner with National Account Managers and Commercial Strategy to support onboarding of new customers, ensuring accurate setup and timely activation.</li><li>
Manage ongoing account maintenance, including pricing updates, product changes, and promotional calendar tracking.</li><li>
Coordinate retail program execution, ensuring timely delivery of POS assets, promotional materials, and compliance with customer requirements.</li><li>
Prepare customer-ready presentations, business reviews, and sell-in decks by synthesizing inputs from marketing, category insights, and sales data.</li><li>
Consolidate and publish monthly account activity summaries and reports across the organization.</li></ul><div>
Strategic Analysis &amp; Insights</div><ul><li>
Analyze sales performance across National Accounts, identifying opportunities to increase volume, share, and profitability.</li><li>
Develop and maintain reporting scorecards, dashboards, and tools that measure customer and channel performance against goals.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Conduct monthly analyses using syndicated and internal data sources, presenting key findings to the National Accounts and Leadership teams.</li><li>
Deliver actionable insights by identifying drivers and detractors of performance and recommending data-driven solutions.</li></ul><div>
Project &amp; Process Management</div><ul><li>
Lead or support high-impact cross-functional projects that align with commercial and customer strategies.</li><li>
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations leaders to enhance processes, streamline reporting, and identify automation or capability-building opportunities.</li><li>
Support trade show planning, customer events, and team offsites, ensuring alignment of materials and messaging.</li><li>
Maintain organized systems for account documentation, price lists, and contact directories.</li></ul><div>
Cross-Functional Collaboration</div><ul><li>
Serve as a key liaison between National Accounts, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Field Sales to ensure alignment on initiatives and priorities.</li><li>
Support the Vice Presidents of Large and Small Formats in developing and executing annual and quarterly goals for the National Accounts business.</li><li>
Represent National Accounts perspectives in regional and corporate strategy discussions as needed.</li></ul><div><b>
Key Skills and Experience Required</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, related field, OR equivalent experience.</li><li>
Minimum 4&ndash;6 years of experience in a Sales Operations, National Accounts, or Strategic Planning role within CPG, Beverage, or similar industry.</li><li>
Deep understanding of retail dynamics, including pricing, promotions, and category management principles.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).</li><li>
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, polished presence.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and a collaborative, proactive approach.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>

The Role</p><div>
The National Account Manager (NAM), Value Channel will be responsible for managing and growing Congo Brands&rsquo; business across key Value, Discount Specialty (TJ Maxx, etc.), Liquidation, and Alternative retail partners (e.g., Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and others). This role will own the day-to-day customer relationship, business planning, and execution to deliver sales and profitability goals while expanding brand presence and category leadership within the channel.</div><div></div><div><br>
The National Account Manager will ensure alignment and flawless execution of new item launches, promotions, and operational priorities, while also working closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Strategy. This position reports to the Vice President, Small Format.</div><div></div><p><br>
Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>
Manage all aspects of the customer relationship across assigned Value Channel accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for buyers and key stakeholders.</li><li>
Execute annual and quarterly sales plans to achieve revenue, profit, and distribution goals.</li><li>
Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions, ensuring alignment on strategy, product innovation, and promotional calendars.</li><li>
Develop and execute account-specific promotional plans, optimizing trade spend and measuring ROI.</li><li>
Analyze sales performance, category trends, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities and strengthen Congo Brands&rsquo; position within the Value Channel.</li><li>
Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of customer programs, including forecasting, logistics, pricing, and marketing support.</li><li>
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth product launches, packaging transitions, and in-store merchandising excellence.</li><li>
Monitor competitive activity, pricing trends, and category performance to provide recommendations on strategy adjustments.</li><li>
Prepare and present business reviews, highlighting performance results, key initiatives, and growth opportunities.</li><li>
Contribute to the broader Value Channel strategy, sharing customer insights and helping shape long-term plans for the channel.</li></ul></div><div><p>
Key Skills and Experience Required</p><ul><li>
5+ years of experience in CPG sales or account management, with a focus on Value, Discount Specialty (TJ Maxx, etc.), Liquidation, or Alternative retail channels (e.g., Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree).</li><li>
Proven ability to deliver sales growth and build collaborative customer partnerships.</li><li>
Strong understanding of Joint Business Planning, promotional planning, and category management.</li><li>
Results-driven and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to turn data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.</li><li>
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.</li><li>
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
