<div><p>Job Summary: The Purchasing Manager plays a crucial role in managing the procurement and supply chain activities for the landscaping business. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of vendor management and inventory control. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for landscaping operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, and maintaining good supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in purchasing, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to optimize procurement processes.</p><br>

Responsibilities:</p>
<ul><li>
Procurement Strategy and Vendor Management:</li><li><ul><li>
Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices.</li><li>
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting supplier audits, and negotiating favorable terms and conditions.</li><li>
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration, and resolving any issues or disputes.</li><li>
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.</li></ul>
</li><li>Purchase Order Management and Documentation:</li><li><ul><li>
Review purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and budgetary considerations.</li><li>
Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agreed-upon terms and conditions.</li><li>
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and finance, to ensure proper documentation, invoicing, and payment processing.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.</li></ul>
</li><li>Price and Contract Negotiation:</li><li><ul><li>
Conduct price negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.</li><li>
Analyze market trends, perform cost-benefit analysis, and seek opportunities for cost savings and value optimization.</li><li>
Collaborate with the finance department to analyze and forecast procurement costs and budgetary requirements.</li><li>
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.</li></ul>
</li><li>Inventory Control and Demand Planning:</li><li><ul><li>
Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.</li><li>
Develop and implement inventory control procedures, including reorder points, lead times, and stock rotation strategies.</li><li>
Collaborate with the operations team to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.</li><li>
Identify opportunities for inventory optimization, such as vendor-managed inventory or just-in-time inventory systems.</li></ul>
</li><li>Supplier Performance and Quality Management:</li><li><ul><li>
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and regularly evaluate their performance against defined metrics.</li><li>
Conduct supplier audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards, ethical practices, and industry regulations.</li><li>
Collaborate with the quality control team to address any supplier-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.</li><li>
Continuously seek opportunities to improve supplier performance, quality, and overall value.</li></ul>
</li><li>Procurement Process Improvement:</li><li><ul><li>
Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function, such as streamlining processes, implementing automation, or leveraging technology.</li><li>
Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Monitor industry trends and best practices, implementing innovative procurement strategies to drive efficiencies and cost savings.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of procurement processes with other business functions.</li></ul>

<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.</li><li>
Proven experience (4 -5 years) in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the landscaping or related industry.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and vendor management.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts and securing favorable terms.</li><li>
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.</li><li>
Proficiency in using procurement software, inventory management systems, and MS Office applications.</li><li>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.</li><li>
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</li><li>
Knowledge of landscaping materials, equipment, and industry suppliers is a plus.</li><li>
Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.</li></ul><div><b>
