Job Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Creates a welcoming atmosphere by greeting visitors and clients to the clinic</li><li>Check in and check out clients in a timely, friendly manner</li><li>Outstanding professional phone management skills: manages a multiline telephone system efficiently and politely, minimizing hold time</li><li>Comforts patients by answering any questions they may have</li><li>Expedites patient processing by having them fill out forms</li><li>Obtains patient identification and insurance information</li><li>Maintains patient accounts by verifying insurance information and coordinating with relevant organizations for payment and referral requirements</li><li>Keeps pertinent staff abreast of scheduling, patient details, and potential service delays</li><li>Helps maintain office inventory; may place orders for office supplies and schedule service for office equipment repairs</li><li>Protects patients&rsquo; right of confidentiality; mandatory familiarity with HIPAA</li><li>Schedule patients to make the most efficient use of staff schedules</li><li>Fax, file, photocopy, data entry and other clerical duties as assigned by staff and Manager</li><li>Verify insurance and complete pre-certification process in a timely manner to minimize delay in client care</li></ul>Medical Office Receptionist Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>BLS / CPR certified by the American Heart Association required (or due within 90 days of start)</li><li>Certificated Medical Assistant</li><li>Knowledge of basic medical/dental terminology</li><li>1 year secretarial or receptionist experience required</li><li>Experience in a hospital setting or medical office preferred</li><li>Demonstrated ability to interact with healthcare professionals, clients, and insurance companies alike</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li><li>Pleasant phone demeanor; bilingual speaker preferred</li><li>Computer skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite mandatory, and must type 30+wpm</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Insurance: 2 years (Required)</li><li>Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Family Medical Clinic: 2 years (Required)</li><li>eClinicalWorks: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
