This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills, gain supervisory experience, and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to service excellence.Duties<ul><li>Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, and guiding shoppers through their purchases</li><li>Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity, including balancing registers at shift end</li><li>Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness</li><li>Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction</li><li>Support supervisory staff by overseeing daily operations, supervising team members, and ensuring store policies are followed</li><li>Use bilingual skills when needed to communicate effectively with diverse customers in our grocery store setting</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus</li><li>Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone or in person</li><li>Knowledge of retail math for cash handling, pricing, and discounts</li><li>Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately</li><li>Familiarity with operations including stocking, merchandising, and customer service standards</li><li>Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve our diverse customer base effectively</li><li>Demonstrated ability to upsell products.</li></ul>Join us as a 2nd Shift Cashier where your energy fuels our success!
