Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, and guiding shoppers through their purchases
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity, including balancing registers at shift end
• Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness
• Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
• Support supervisory staff by overseeing daily operations, supervising team members, and ensuring store policies are followed
• Use bilingual skills when needed to communicate effectively with diverse customers in our grocery store setting

Requirements

• Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone or in person
• Knowledge of retail math for cash handling, pricing, and discounts
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
• Familiarity with operations including stocking, merchandising, and customer service standards
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve our diverse customer base effectively
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products.
