<div><p>Under the direction of the Homelessness &amp; Coordinated Care (HCC) Unit Supervisor, the Senior Social Service Worker provides advanced social casework services and serves as a lead resource in coordinating outreach, engagement, and housing-focused services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This position plays a critical role in supporting multidisciplinary responses at identified encampments throughout Marin County, including Binford Road and Hamilton Marsh, by helping clients overcome barriers to housing stability and connecting them with appropriate services and supports.<br>

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>
Providing advanced case management services to individuals experiencing complex housing, health, behavioral health, financial, and social service needs.</li><li>
Coordinating with HHS programs, County departments, community-based organizations, and individuals with lived experience to develop and implement effective service plans and improve client outcomes.</li><li>
Serving as a lead resource and providing consultation, mentoring, and support to staff working with individuals experiencing homelessness.</li><li>
Connecting clients to HCC programs and community resources, including Coordinated Entry, Behavioral Health Bridge Housing, CalAIM Housing-Related Community Supports, and other supportive services.</li><li>
Identifying barriers to housing stability and collaborating with clients and service providers to develop strategies that support successful transitions to permanent housing.</li><li>
Participating in the development, implementation, and improvement of homelessness services, procedures, and initiatives.</li></ul><br>

They have demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care, Housing First approaches, crisis intervention, and developing effective service plans for individuals with complex needs.<br>

They bring strong judgment, compassion, and problem-solving skills to address barriers to housing stability and connect individuals to meaningful resources and supports.<br>

The highly qualified candidate has experience serving as a lead resource or mentor to colleagues, providing consultation and guidance on complex cases, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. <b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br>
Knowledge of:</p><ul><li>
Principles and techniques of interviewing.</li><li>
Community organizations and resources and the social problems calling for the use of public and private resources.</li><li>
Basic principles of public assistance agencies, policies and programs.</li><li>
Laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation of a social service agency and related specialized programs.</li></ul>

Provide lead direction, mentoring, and training to assigned staff.</li><li>
Analyze client situations and social services needs.</li><li>
Develop, prepare and implement effective case work plans.</li><li>
Apply applicable laws, rules, and regulations to social service operations.</li><li>

Demonstrate excellent judgment, diplomacy, and accuracy in representing the Unit to County and community-based partners.</li><li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b><br>
Either possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work or a Master's degree in a two year counseling program by the time of appointment and two years of experience in adult social services as described or possession of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with coursework related to the field and three years of journey level casework experience of which two years were directly related to the assignment at a level comparable to the County's classes of Social Service Worker II or Deputy Public Guardian.</div><p></p>

The Marin County Free Library (MCFL) is a special taxing district that operates ten branch libraries in Marin under the authority of the Board of Supervisors. <p></p><div><p>The Community Library Specialist (CLS) reports to a Branch manager. These positions provide library services for patrons of all ages in small, rural communities and support daily branch operations at the Stinson Beach Library or the Inverness Library. Community engagement is at the heart of these positions, both inside and outside the walls of the library. These positions also require a strong focus on joyful learning, community centered empowerment and collective impact with community agencies to guide and inform the scope and direction of the work. There are currently two part-time vacancies, one at the Stinson Beach branch and one at the Inverness branch.</p><p><br>
The primary duties of the Community Library Specialist include:</p><ul><li>
Staffing a circulation/service desk to provide reference and reader&rsquo;s advisory services, as well as computer and technology support</li><li>
Developing and implementing responsive, inclusive programming that reflects community needs and interests</li><li>
Attending community events to provide information about library services and conducting presentations to community groups</li><li>

Typically, three years of full-time paraprofessional library experience or three years of experience providing programmatic services in a community agency setting. Successful completion of related coursework from a recognized college or university may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis (30 semester or 45 quarter units) for a maximum substitution of two years.</p></div></div><p></p>
