Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Assistant Controller to oversee financial operations within our aerospace division. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with industry regulations, managing cost accounting, and supporting executive decision-making through accurate financial reporting. Salary Rate: $100K-$115K ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Financial Close and Reporting <ul> <li> Review monthly accounting close process including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained </li> <li> Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting </li> <li> Responsible for meeting financial and tax reporting requirements to CPP Corporate, including consolidation and issuance of month-end reports and financial analysis </li> <li> Responsible for maintaining daily financial reporting, and weekly KPI deliverables </li> <li> Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly P&L and cash forecasting </li> <li> Support the preparation of the annual budget </li> </ul> Internal Controls and Compliance <ul> <li> Implement, document, and maintain strong internal controls </li> <li> Ensure compliance with all CPP policies and procedures </li> <li> Support internal and external audits </li> </ul> Inventory <ul> <li> Manage cost accounting and inventory subledger, including annual overhead rate change, and part cost rolls </li> <li> Lead physical inventories and analysis of inventory adjustments and reserves </li> </ul> Manage Accounting Staff <ul> <li> Supervise the AR Specialist and AP support group. </li> <li> Lead performance management and professional development of direct reports </li> </ul> Operational Support <ul> <li> Provide operational guidance to improve efficiency </li> <li> Present financial justifications for capital expenditures </li> <li> Safeguard and oversee periodic physical inventories of fixed assets </li> <li> Perform additional ad hoc duties as assigned </li> </ul> REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: <ul> <li> Excellent analytical and organizational skills </li> <li> Strong written and verbal communication skills </li> <li> Proficiency in database and accounting systems </li> </ul> EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE <ul> <li> Bachelor's degree in finance, or Accounting required </li> <li> 5+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities. </li> <li> ERP system conversion experience a plus </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Strong knowledge of US GAAP, cost accounting, and government contract compliance </li> <li> Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills </li> </ul> Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is an industry-leading manufacturer of highly engineered components and sub-assemblies, supplying the commercial aerospace, military and industrial markets with small-to-large "function critical" products.
