&lt;Overview&gt; We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Controller/CFO to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional eager to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant, mission-driven environment.&lt;Responsibilities&gt;<ul><li>Lead the organization&rsquo;s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals.</li><li>Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger management, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash management.</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other relevant regulatory requirements.</li><li>Manage financial reporting activities, including preparing accurate financial statements, regulatory reports, and detailed financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Supervise internal controls related to financial processes such as balance sheet reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis to safeguard organizational assets.</li><li>Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools to optimize operational efficiency.</li><li>Collaborate with auditors during audits and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non-profit or public sector entities if applicable.</li><li>Develop strategies for effective cash flow management and optimize treasury functions to support organizational needs.</li><li>Provide leadership on technical accounting issues such as non-profit accounting standards, governmental accounting procedures, and complex financial concepts.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.</li></ul>&lt;Skills&gt;<ul><li>Extensive experience with GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and governmental or non-profit accounting standards.</li><li>Strong expertise in financial report writing, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and account analysis.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools.</li><li>Deep understanding of technical accounting principles including debits &amp; credits, double entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and regulatory reporting requirements.</li><li>Skilled in cash flow forecasting, budgeting processes, financial analysis, and strategic financial planning.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of accounts payable/receivable procedures and general ledger reconciliation practices.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data into clear insights for executive decision-making.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and collaborating across departments.
