<Overview>
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Controller/CFO to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across our organization. <Responsibilities>
- Lead the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger management, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage financial reporting activities, including preparing accurate financial statements, regulatory reports, and detailed financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Supervise internal controls related to financial processes such as balance sheet reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis to safeguard organizational assets.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non-profit or public sector entities if applicable.
- Develop strategies for effective cash flow management and optimize treasury functions to support organizational needs.
- Provide leadership on technical accounting issues such as non-profit accounting standards, governmental accounting procedures, and complex financial concepts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
<Skills>
- Extensive experience with GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and governmental or non-profit accounting standards.
- Strong expertise in financial report writing, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and account analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools.
- Deep understanding of technical accounting principles including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Skilled in cash flow forecasting, budgeting processes, financial analysis, and strategic financial planning.
- Excellent knowledge of accounts payable/receivable procedures and general ledger reconciliation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data into clear insights for executive decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $80,602.18 - $135,000.00 per year
