Job PurposeThe Bookkeeper supports the organization&rsquo;s day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, posting payments, and supporting billing processes.Essential ResponsibilitiesAccounting / Bookkeeping- Maintain accurate financial records- Prepare and enter journal entries- Perform reconciliations and cash management- Assist with financial close and reportingBilling Support- Post payments within Valant- Review and reconcile patient accounts- Assist with patient statementsPayroll / Administrative Support- Provide backup payroll support- Assist with administrative tasksKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles- Strong attention to detail- Excel proficiency- Valant experience preferred- Knowledge of QuickBooks online preferred.- Knowledge of billing practice or willingness to learn.Minimum Qualifications- Associate degree required- 5+ years&rsquo; experience preferred- Must pass BRCPhysical Requirements- Prolonged sitting and computer work- Lift up to 15 poundsDirect ReportsNonePay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>Microsoft Excel: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>QuickBooks online: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in West Springfield, MA 01089
