Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments using clinical knowledge and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.</li>
<li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychotherapy, and behavioral health interventions.</li>
<li>Administer medications with expertise in psychopharmacology, ensuring proper dosage, monitoring for side effects, and adjusting treatments as necessary.</li>
<li>Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care across inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, and community-based settings.</li>
<li>Provide patient education on mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to support recovery and wellness.</li>
<li>Document all clinical encounters accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li>
<li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives such as utilization review</li>
</ul>
Experience
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatry or behavioral health with a strong background in behavioral health space specifically SUD</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems telehealth experience is highly desirable.</li>
<li>Knowledge of psychopharmacology including CPT coding for billing purposes; experience administering injections or IV infusions is a plus.</li>
<li>Familiarity with outpatient clinics, PHP and IOP programs. 
</li>
<li>Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, diagnostic evaluation techniques like sonography or spinal tap procedures are advantageous.</li></ul></div>
