Job SummaryCrown Facility Services, LLC &mdash; a woman-owned commercial janitorial company serving the Helena, Alabama area &mdash; is seeking a dedicated Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety at railroad facility locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, residential, or industrial cleaning, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a clean and welcoming environment. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, floor care, and light maintenance duties to ensure all areas meet our high standards of hygiene and appearance.This is a part-time position with shifts running 4&ndash;6 hours, giving you the remainder of your day for other commitments. Attendance is mandatory and consistent performance is essential, as our railroad clients depend on reliable service at every visit.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas</li><li>Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain flooring quality</li><li>Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established protocols</li><li>Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively</li><li>Operate floor machines and auto scrubbers to clean and maintain hard-surface floors</li><li>Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance and minor repairs as needed</li><li>Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies are low</li><li>Follow all OSHA safety procedures and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities</li><li>Support commercial and railroad cleaning projects requiring specialized techniques or equipment</li><li>Ensure all work areas are kept organized, safe, and hazard-free</li><li>Complete daily service reports and submit electronic paperwork via smartphone apps (must be able to take screenshots and upload photos)</li><li>Maintain mandatory attendance &mdash; reliable, consistent presence on your assigned railroad route is required</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li><li>Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; commercial or industrial cleaning experience is a plus</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of commercial, industrial, or sanitation janitorial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and waxing</li><li>Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures</li><li>Must have knowledge of and ability to follow OSHA standards</li><li>Must successfully pass a background check prior to hire</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards</li><li>Reliable work ethic with good time management skills</li><li>Proficient smartphone skills &mdash; must complete electronic paperwork, take screenshots, and upload documentation via apps</li><li>Previous experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required</li></ul>Physical RequirementsPhysical ability to perform cleaning tasks which may include:<ul><li>Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods</li><li>Lifting and carrying supplies and trash receptacles (up to 50 lbs)</li><li>Operating commercial floor cleaning machinery and auto scrubbers</li><li>Working in varying indoor environments including railroad facilities</li></ul>How to ApplyInterested candidates may apply by:<ul><li>Emailing your resume or work history to: info@crownfacilityservicesal.com</li><li>Calling or texting: 205.651.2778</li></ul>Please include &quot;Railroad Janitor Application&quot; in the subject line of your email.Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourWork Location: In person
