 Role Overview
 
 
 
 We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in
 
 Direct Taxation
 
 , specifically in
 
 tax litigation, assessments, and compliance
 
 . The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, updated knowledge of income tax laws, and the ability to handle matters independently.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Manage
 
 income tax assessments
 
 , reassessments, and departmental inquiries.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and draft responses to
 
 notices, submissions, and appeals
 
 before tax authorities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in
 
 tax litigation
 
 including preparation of appeal papers for CIT(A), ITAT, and coordination with legal counsel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle
 
 tax audits
 
 , computation of taxable income, and filing of income tax returns.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all
 
 direct tax regulations
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct research on tax issues, circulars, case laws, and amendments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide internal teams with tax insights and support during financial planning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with tax authorities and represent the company in hearings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain documentation and records for assessments and litigations.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Required Skills &amp; Competencies
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of
 
 Income Tax Act
 
 , case laws, and taxation procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience in
 
 litigation support
 
 and assessment handling.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent drafting and analytical skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in MS Office, taxation software, and e-filing portals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work under deadlines and manage high-pressure situations.
 </li>
