About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Privacy Consultant with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting privacy initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR, PDPB, etc.), and helping clients implement robust privacy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise internal teams and/or clients on data privacy regulations including GDPR, India's PDPB/DPDP Act, CCPA, etc.
• Assist in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and risk assessments.
• Support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor compliance with data protection laws and internal privacy policies.
• Assist in incident response planning and breach management support.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to support privacy-by-design and data governance initiatives.
• Conduct training and awareness programs for staff or clients on data privacy best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data privacy, information security, or compliance.
• Understanding of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPB, CCPA).
• Experience in working with privacy tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

• CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT (by IAPP)
• ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor
• DCPP (by DSCI)
