Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and overall clinic success.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately.</li><li>Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.</li><li>Perform clinical tasks such as drawing blood, administering medications under supervision, and assisting with X-ray imaging when needed.</li><li>Support physicians during procedures by maintaining sterile fields and managing necessary supplies.</li><li>Document clinical notes with precision, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and recordkeeping.</li><li>Monitor patient status in inpatient or outpatient settings, including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma centers.</li><li>Maintain compliance with safety protocols such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and adhere to hospital or clinic policies for emergency medicine and trauma response.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to diverse specialties like internal medicine, medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, and geriatrics.</li><li>Experience working in hospital environments, Level I or II trauma centers, or outpatient clinics with exposure to inpatient care settings.</li><li>Proficiency in EHR systems for documentation of intake assessments, vital signs, ICD coding, and medication administration records.</li><li>Ability to perform clinical procedures such as X-ray imaging and assist with OR (Operating Room) procedures when necessary.</li><li>Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including pediatric (PICU), adult, and geriatric patients.</li><li>Familiarity with hospital medicine practices including Level I Trauma Center protocols and urgent care workflows.</li><li>Competence in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate records.
