If you're a big believer in brains + play = brilliance, this is your classroom.What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing:<ul><li>Planning and leading hands-on, age-appropriate learning experiences for a group of 15 children who will transition to kindergarten.</li><li>Supporting social-emotional growth and early academic readiness through play and a positive approach to discipline.</li><li>Encouraging collaboration, problem solving, and peer friendships by maintaining a positive workplace culture focused on team work and open communication.</li><li>Collaborating with float staff, assistant teachers, other Lead staff and families to support every child&rsquo;s growth and center operations.</li><li>Creating a classroom that celebrates culture, identity, and kindness.</li></ul>Job DutiesCurriculum &amp; Instruction<ul><li>Design and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans grounded in early learning standards and play-based philosophy.</li><li>Facilitate whole group, small group, and individual activities that build skills in language, math, motor development, early science, and self-expression.</li><li>Create engaging learning centers with rotating themes, materials, and provocations to spark inquiry and discovery.</li><li>Observe children&rsquo;s interests and adjust the environment and activities to promote exploration, autonomy, and growth.</li></ul>Social-Emotional &amp; Behavioral Support<ul><li>Foster a classroom culture rooted in kindness, empathy, and curiosity.</li><li>Support children in expressing emotions, solving conflicts, and practicing problem-solving using positive guidance and restorative practices.</li><li>Encourage and celebrate successes in building new skills, self care routines and early academics.</li></ul>Family Engagement<ul><li>Maintain open, respectful communication with families through daily updates, progress reports, and regular conferences.</li><li>Share photos, anecdotes, and developmental insights to keep families connected to the classroom experience.</li><li>Support family participation and culturally inclusive celebrations that honor every child&rsquo;s background.</li></ul>Classroom Management &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Help set up and maintain a welcoming, organized, and developmentally rich classroom space.</li><li>Assist in ensuring all materials, toys, and supplies meet licensing and safety standards.</li><li>Aid in regular toy rotations, documentation of assessments, incident reports, attendance, and meal logs.</li><li>Support a positive and respectful team environment</li></ul>Professional Growth &amp; Leadership<ul><li>Participate in staff meetings, regular trainings, and professional development.</li><li>Stay informed on best practices in early childhood education, and support the Lead Teacher in implementing equity and inclusion strategies.</li><li>Model Culturally Growing&rsquo;s values through consistent, respectful communication and a growth-oriented mindset.</li></ul>What You Bring:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or ECE credits preferred)</li><li>At least 2 years of childcare or related experience</li><li>Deep understanding of child development and positive guidance strategies.</li><li>Big patience, even bigger heart, and the flexibility of a yoga instructor</li><li>CPR/First Aid Certification and Basic Childcare Training Courses (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment)</li></ul>Why You&rsquo;ll Love It Here:<ul><li>A welcoming, inclusive team that celebrates every child and every culture.</li><li>Creative freedom to bring songs, stories, and sensory play to life.</li><li>Paid training and professional growth opportunities (We will help you get your CDA!).</li><li>A place where you&rsquo;re encouraged to be exactly you&mdash;tattoos, natural hair, bilingual skills, and lived experience are all valued</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $17.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Childcare: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>First Aid &amp; CPR (Preferred)</li><li>CBCU Memo from ND Department of Health and Human Services (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
