Custom Metal Fabricators, Inc. seeks an experienced and skilled TIG welder / fabricator to complete close tolerance sheet metal weldments and assemblies.The ideal candidate will be an accomplished TIG welder and have prior experience working within a fabrication environment with knowledge of shears, press brakes, drill presses and other miscellaneous metal working equipment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions by applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques</li><li>Develop templates, fixtures and other work aids to hold and align parts</li><li>Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings (both US and European formats)</li><li>Minimum of 5 years TIG welding experience required</li><li>Minimum of 5 years experience welding close tolerance sheet metal parts and assemblies made from Aluminum, Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel</li><li>Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals used for welding, including fluxes and filler metals</li><li>Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship or vocational school program preferred but not necessary</li><li>Professional certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) preferred but not necessary</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>TIG welding: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
