As a dynamic, results-driven firm we take pride in providing effective, client-focused representation in personal injury and habitability cases.We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for injured individuals and tenants, including those from low-income and underserved communities. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney looking to grow their litigation skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Handle personal injury and habitability cases from intake through resolution.</li><li>Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.</li><li>Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to written discovery, reviewing evidence, and preparing discovery-related motions.</li><li>Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.</li><li>Communicate with clients to provide case updates, legal advice, and manage expectations throughout the litigation process.</li><li>Appear at hearings, mediations, and case management conferences as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law and legal precedents.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.</li><li>2-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, habitability, or related civil litigation.</li><li>Experience managing cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.</li><li>Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.</li><li>Confidence in communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li></ul>Desired Attributes:<ul><li>Strong work ethic and commitment to client advocacy.</li><li>Dedication to serving and advocating for clients from low-income and underserved communities.</li><li>Proactive and resourceful problem-solver.</li><li>Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively.</li><li>Team player with a collaborative mindset.</li><li>Positive attitude and resilience in handling challenging cases.</li><li>Eagerness to learn and grow within the firm.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Year-End Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.</li><li>Health Insurance: 100% of premiums paid by employer after completion of 90-day probationary period.</li><li>Vacation: 5 vacation days after completion of probationary period, 10 vacation days annually after one year of employment.</li><li>Sick Leave: 6 paid sick days annually.</li><li>Paid Holidays: New Year&rsquo;s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Post-Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.</li><li>Parking: Fully paid parking.</li><li>Supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.</li><li>Flexible schedule.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Active member in good standing with the California State Bar?</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Studio City, CA 91604 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
