Mechanical Project Engineer &ndash; Roles &amp; Responsibilities (Dubai &ndash; UAE)1. Project Planning &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Plan, schedule, and coordinate all mechanical project activities (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting).</li><li>Review project specifications, IFC drawings, and contract documents.</li><li>Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues.</li></ul>2. Site Execution &amp; Supervision<ul><li>Supervise and monitor mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and UAE standards.</li><li>Manage site teams, technicians, and subcontractors to achieve daily and weekly targets.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections and ensure proper implementation of method statements and QA/QC procedures.</li></ul>3. Authority Compliance (Dubai Standards)<ul><li>Prepare and submit drawings, materials, and documents for approval to:</li><li>Dubai Civil Defense (DCD)</li><li>Dubai Municipality (DM)</li><li>DEWA (for water supply interface)</li><li>DDA / Trakhees / Nakheel / Emaar (based on project)</li><li>Arrange and attend inspections with authorities and consultants.</li></ul>4. Technical Submittals &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Prepare and review technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, MIRs, and WIRs.</li><li>Review shop drawings and coordinate for revisions based on consultant comments.</li><li>Maintain project documentation, logs, and engineering records.</li></ul>5. Procurement &amp; Material Handling<ul><li>Identify material requirements based on project specifications.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, sample submissions, and delivery schedules.</li><li>Verify materials delivered to site and ensure they match approved submittals.</li></ul>6. Cost Control &amp; Progress Monitoring<ul><li>Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates.</li><li>Monitor project progress, report delays, and propose corrective actions.</li><li>Assist in preparing variations, claims, and project cost updates.</li></ul>7. Testing, Commissioning &amp; Handover<ul><li>Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC equipment, pumps, firefighting systems, and plumbing networks.</li><li>Coordinate with TAB (Testing &amp; Balancing) teams for HVAC system performance.</li><li>Prepare as-built drawings, O&amp;M manuals, and ensure smooth handover.</li></ul>8. Quality, HSE &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure work execution meets quality standards, safety procedures, and UAE Fire &amp; Life Safety Code.</li><li>Conduct toolbox talks and ensure site compliance with HSE regulations.</li><li>Identify and resolve site issues to prevent rework and maintain quality.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
