If you're looking for a stable career with a company that values DOT compliance and long-term employee growth, this could be the opportunity for you.Job Summary: You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all company equipment used in the transportation and handling of freight. This includes (but is not limited to):<ul><li>Tandem-axle trucks, both over-the-road and city tractors</li><li>Propane and diesel-powered forklifts</li><li>Various trailer types and configurations</li><li>Company vehicles and pickup trucks</li><li>Converter gear and related equipment</li></ul>What You&rsquo;ll Do on a Typical Day:<ul><li>Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all company equipment (e.g., forklifts, service trucks, tractors, and trailers)</li><li>Perform repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers</li><li>Conduct diagnostic testing using tools such as Cummins Insite</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair lighting and electrical systems with minimal supervision</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair air brake systems, including ABS</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed</li><li>Operate yard tractors to move trailers to/from the shop and yard</li><li>Conduct FMCSA-compliant truck and trailer inspections</li><li>Fabricate and weld custom components as needed for tractors, trailers, and equipment</li><li>Support other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum of 2-years relevant mechanic experience (diesel, trailer, or heavy equipment)</li><li>Must have your own tools</li><li>CDL &ndash; a plus, but not required</li><li>Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills</li><li>Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset</li><li>Welding and fabrication experience is a plus</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Health, Dental and Vision Insurance</li><li>401k Plan</li><li>Paid Holidays/Vacation/Sick</li><li>Hours M-F, 8-5 with overtime expected.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourWork Location: In person
