We are currently seeking a Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our specialized transportation team. Job Summary:
You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all company equipment used in the transportation and handling of freight. This includes (but is not limited to):

• Tandem-axle trucks, both over-the-road and city tractors
• Propane and diesel-powered forklifts
• Various trailer types and configurations
• Company vehicles and pickup trucks
• Converter gear and related equipment

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all company equipment (e.g., forklifts, service trucks, tractors, and trailers)
• Perform repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers
• Conduct diagnostic testing using tools such as Cummins Insite
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting and electrical systems with minimal supervision
• Troubleshoot and repair air brake systems, including ABS
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
• Operate yard tractors to move trailers to/from the shop and yard
• Conduct FMCSA-compliant truck and trailer inspections
• Fabricate and weld custom components as needed for tractors, trailers, and equipment
• Support other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-years relevant mechanic experience (diesel, trailer, or heavy equipment)
• Must have your own tools
• CDL – a plus, but not required
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
