What You'll Do</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Successfully contribute to all aspects of vegetation management planning and analysis.</li><li>
Utilize innovative technology and practices to help major electric utility providers deliver safe and reliable power and maintain national security.</li><li>
Inspect and assess vegetation in right-of-ways for compliance standards and construction work plans.</li><li>
Identify tree and brush control work and protection zone recommendations.</li><li>
Collect data and document work using hand-held computers; assess terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions, &amp; support IVM projects.</li><li>
Coordinate with Project Managers, Planners, and Vegetation Crews to create customized solutions.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You'll Need</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Love of the outdoors and the ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.</li><li>
Ability to read and follow GIS data and maps; ability to work independently.</li><li>
Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority.</li><li>
Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Availability and desire to travel throughout the utility service area.</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License with clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle.</li><li>
Ability to identify local tree species &amp; growth rates.</li><li>
Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing.</li><li>
Preferred: Two or Four-year degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture or related discipline.</li><li>
Preferred: Relevant pesticide and/or Herbicide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.</li><li>
Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist&reg;, ISA Utility Specialist&reg;, Registered Professional Forester (RPF), Utility Right-of-Way Vegetation experience.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Davey Resource Group</b> is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a focus in transportation and roadway design to join our growing team of engineering professionals. This role involves contributing to a variety of infrastructure projects, including the design and development of roadway systems, intersections, traffic control plans, and related civil components. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that support safe and efficient transportation networks.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Duties</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Support the planning and design of roadway projects, including geometric layout, pavement design, drainage, lighting, and traffic engineering</li><li>
Assist in preliminary engineering phases, including conceptual and schematic design development</li><li>
Prepare detailed design calculations and engineering documentation in compliance with local, state (ODOT), and federal standards</li><li>
Develop Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and Traffic Control plans</li><li>
Produce contract documents including specifications, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs</li><li>
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements and permitting processes are met</li><li>
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and deliverables</li></ul><p><b>

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio required or abitilty to attain</li><li>
Demonstrated experience with ODOT and/or local transportation standards</li><li>
