Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of legal practices, including bankruptcy, litigation, real estate, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and a proactive attitude to assist attorney with case management, document preparation, and administrative tasks. This position is essential in ensuring smooth legal operations and delivering exceptional service to clients while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorney, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.</li><li>Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.</li><li>Assist in document review and management by organizing files electronically and physically using document management systems.</li><li>Interview clients to gather relevant information for ongoing cases while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>Support litigation processes through document review, filing court documents electronically, and preparing exhibits for court proceedings.</li><li>Maintain organized records of all legal documents and correspondence in compliance with firm policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform general clerical duties including phone etiquette, filing, photocopying, and proofreading.</li><li>Assist with project management tasks related to legal cases or firm initiatives to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a fast-paced law office environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of legal areas such as bankruptcy and real estate litigation is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.</li><li>Strong writing skills for drafting simple legal documents and correspondence with clarity and precision.</li><li>Exceptional proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while demonstrating professional phone etiquette.</li><li>Join our team if you&rsquo;re eager to develop your legal career in a collaborative environment that values dedication, accuracy, and proactive support!</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
