Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorney, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
- Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist in document review and management by organizing files electronically and physically using document management systems.
- Interview clients to gather relevant information for ongoing cases while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support litigation processes through document review, filing court documents electronically, and preparing exhibits for court proceedings.
- Maintain organized records of all legal documents and correspondence in compliance with firm policies and procedures.
- Perform general clerical duties including phone etiquette, filing, photocopying, and proofreading.
- Assist with project management tasks related to legal cases or firm initiatives to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a fast-paced law office environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal areas such as bankruptcy and real estate litigation is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong writing skills for drafting simple legal documents and correspondence with clarity and precision.
- Exceptional proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
