DC Farmers Co-op

This is a part-time position. The position is responsible for the daily carryout and loading of feed and related products for customers at our Winston location. This is a fast-paced position that requires constant movement of product, attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to make customers feel welcome and work well with a team.Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Greets customers as they enter the location to make them feel welcome.</li><li>Haul feed and other products to customer vehicles.</li><li>Utilize loading tickets from customers, verify order, and safely load merchandise into customer vehicles.</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of feed decks.</li><li>Re-package broken and torn packaging.</li><li>Inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment.</li><li>Stock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.</li><li>Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, and answering questions.</li><li>Assists with online fulfillment orders.</li><li>Remove any obstructions or debris from aisles and parking areas.</li><li>Provide basic janitorial services for restrooms, offices, and other high traffic areas by removing garbage, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to operate office and warehouse equipment such as: computers, printers, scanners, cash registers, and calculators.</li><li>Must assemble merchandise such as lawn furniture, log splitters, and BBQs as needed.</li><li>Basic mathematical skills, as needed, to verify on hand counts and product availability.</li><li>Become knowledgeable about company products and services.</li><li>Ability to quickly research and recall store prices, products, inventory, and services.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers in a friendly and approachable manner.</li><li>Must have excellent time management skills and meet deadlines as appropriate.</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.</li><li>Prior forklift experience is a plus.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Prolonged periods of standing and walking.</li><li>Bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling required frequently to rearrange merchandise and communicate stock levels to team.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and, with appropriate equipment and lifting techniques, 300 pounds infrequently.</li><li>May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.</li><li>Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.</li><li>Load merchandise from pallets to the salesfloor.</li></ul>Douglas County Farmers Co-op is a drug free and equal opportunity employer.Job Type: Part-timeJob Type: Part-timePay: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Are you available to work any day of the week between 8am - 6pm?</li><li>DC Farmer's Co-Op is a drug free workplace.
