Carryout / Warehouse Associate - Winston

This is a part-time position. The position is responsible for the daily carryout and loading of feed and related products for customers at our Winston location. This is a fast-paced position that requires constant movement of product, attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to make customers feel welcome and work well with a team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets customers as they enter the location to make them feel welcome.
• Haul feed and other products to customer vehicles.
• Utilize loading tickets from customers, verify order, and safely load merchandise into customer vehicles.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of feed decks.
• Re-package broken and torn packaging.
• Inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment.
• Stock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor.
• Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, and answering questions.
• Assists with online fulfillment orders.
• Remove any obstructions or debris from aisles and parking areas.
• Provide basic janitorial services for restrooms, offices, and other high traffic areas by removing garbage, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to operate office and warehouse equipment such as: computers, printers, scanners, cash registers, and calculators.
• Must assemble merchandise such as lawn furniture, log splitters, and BBQs as needed.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed, to verify on hand counts and product availability.
• Become knowledgeable about company products and services.
• Ability to quickly research and recall store prices, products, inventory, and services.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Must have excellent time management skills and meet deadlines as appropriate.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling required frequently to rearrange merchandise and communicate stock levels to team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and, with appropriate equipment and lifting techniques, 300 pounds infrequently.
• May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Load merchandise from pallets to the salesfloor.
