Deerwood Country Club, one of Northeast Florida's premiere country clubs, is seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the country club&rsquo;s facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, the technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance throughout the property.The ideal candidate will support the club&rsquo;s commitment to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff by addressing facility needs promptly and professionally. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform routine maintenance and repairs on club facilities including plumbing, carpentry, and general upkeep.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff and management.</li><li>Assist with setup and breakdown for club events, including furniture arrangement and equipment handling.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.</li><li>Support preventative maintenance programs under the direction of the Director of Engineering.</li><li>Monitor and report any safety hazards or facility issues to the Director of Engineering.</li><li>Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or installations.</li><li>Follow safety guidelines in compliance with state, federal and local regulations.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.</li></ul>Skills/Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or a similar role.</li><li>Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry; HVAC skills a plus.</li><li>Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, maintenance equipment, and machinery.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Good communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Consistent weekday schedule</li><li>Beautiful work environment</li><li>Supportive team culture</li><li>Complimentary shift meals</li><li>Health and dental with employer contribution</li><li>Club-paid life and additional death &amp; dismemberment (AD&amp;D) insurance</li><li>Vision, short-term disability, supplemental life and AD&amp;D insurance</li><li>401k with employer match</li><li>Vacation &amp; sick leave</li><li>Holiday pay</li><li>Bereavement leave</li><li>FMLA</li><li>Workers&rsquo; Compensation</li></ul>At Deerwood Country Club (DCC) our most valuable asset is our team.
