Position Overview Our client is a prominent civil contracting firm specializing in large-scale projects across the UAE. With a strong portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, we are committed to delivering excellence in construction and client satisfaction.Role: Commercial Manager with extensive experience in the construction industry to oversee projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in civil construction, particularly in buildings and residential sectors, and possess a deep understanding of FIDIC contracts. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in managing commercial aspects of projects within the GCC region. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with FIDIC contract terms and conditions.</li> <li>Lead and oversee the commercial team, providing guidance and support as necessary.</li> <li>Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability.</li> <li>Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow projections.</li> <li>Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms and agreements.</li> <li>Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure commercial goals align with project objectives.</li> <li>Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.</li> <li>Minimum 12-17 years of progressive experience in commercial management within the construction or civil industry.</li> <li>Previous experience working with a main civil contractor is essential.</li> <li>Solid background in civil construction projects, including buildings, residential, and mixed-use developments.</li> <li>Expertise in FIDIC contracts, with a comprehensive understanding of contract administration and claims management.</li> <li>Nationality: Any (preferred background in GCC countries).</li> </ul> Skills and Attributes <ul> <li>Strong leadership and people management skills.</li> <li>Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.</li> <li>Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving.</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li> <li>High level of integrity and professionalism.</li> <li>Adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> Benefits <ul> <li>Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.</li> <li>Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and annual leave.</li> <li>Opportunity to work with a reputable organization on prestigious projects in the UAE.</li> </ul>
