Summary: The Marketing &amp; Events Manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that advance the organization&rsquo;s brand, visibility, and engagement. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in planning messaging, managing digital platforms, and overseeing event strategy and execution.The position leads content development and manages the Club&rsquo;s social media presence and supports event planning initiatives with the Director of Catering.This role plays a key leadership function in planning Member and private events, managing the Club&rsquo;s digital platforms, and driving consistent, high-quality communication with Members. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Strategic Communications<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies aligned with organizational objectives.</li><li>Draft and oversee high-level messaging including press releases, executive communications, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder updates.</li><li>Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistency across platforms and materials.</li><li>Advise leadership on public-facing communications and reputation management.</li><li>Manage media outreach and external communications relationships.</li></ul>Social Media &amp; Communications:<ul><li>Manage and coordinate internal communications and content development between the leadership team and the newsletter creator through a shared media platform and ongoing collaboration with leadership</li><li>Lead editor for Club newsletter</li><li>Create and send weekly email and standalone emails to Membership while maintaining the Club&rsquo;s brand and standards</li><li>Develop and execute a social media content plan that supports club events, dining, and amenities</li><li>Own content creation, scheduling, and posting across social media platformswhile maintaining the Club&rsquo;s brand and standards</li><li>Monitor engagement and respond to member inquiries in a professional and timely manner</li></ul>Website &amp; Event Registration:<ul><li>Own the management and regular updating of the Club website, including event listings, menus, calendars, and announcements</li><li>Oversee online event registration systems, ticketing platforms, and guest list management</li><li>Ensure accuracy, branding consistency, and timely communication across all digital and printed Club event materials</li><li>Track Club event performance, attendance, and engagement through surveys</li></ul>Event &amp; Catering Management:<ul><li>Manage the planning and execution of private and Club events in collaboration with the Catering Director</li><li>Oversee event logistics including contracts, BEOs, timelines, and event documentation</li><li>Act as a primary point of contact for clients and members throughout the event lifecycle</li><li>Coordinate event details with Food &amp; Beverage, Clubhouse operations, and service teams</li><li>Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure service standards are met</li><li>Update catering menus and brochure packets</li><li>Create themed printed menus and signage for private and club events</li></ul>Leadership &amp; Administration<ul><li>Provide day-to-day leadership for event-related administrative functions</li><li>Establish systems and best practices for event documentation and communication</li><li>Support the Catering Director with planning and special projects</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments to align communications with strategic priorities.</li><li>Provide communications guidance to staff and leadership.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Hospitality Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of two years of experience in events, communications, marketing, social media management, or public relations, preferably in hospitality, clubs, or a similar industry.</li><li>Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with knowledge of AP or Chicago style.</li><li>Proficiency in social media platforms.</li><li>Proficiency in design and marketing tools, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with members and staff.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $72,000.00 - $78,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Day shift</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul>Work Location: In person
