Bartender/Server

SUMMARY:

As a Bartender/Server at Del Paso Country Club, you will be at the heart of our hospitality experience, delivering high-quality service and creating memorable dining moments for our members and their guests. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving meals with attention to detail and professionalism, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and fostering a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with our members, anticipate their preferences, and contribute to their "home away from home" experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Possessing complete knowledge of the menus and answering menu questions graciously and respectfully.
• Taking food orders accurately and with a positive attitude.
• Knowing and abiding by all club policies and applicable state and local laws when serving alcohol.
• Presenting, opening, and serving bottles of wine in a professional manner.
• Following safe food handling and storage procedures.
• Preparing and demonstrating proper table setups, including polishing and organizing your station.
• Preparing bar garnishes as needed.
• Understanding and executing detailed setups and breakdowns of events by following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Providing the highest standard of service by adhering to detailed steps of service.
• Performing other duties as assigned to ensure the exceptional experience our members expect.

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in a fine dining restaurant preferred
• Current California food handler certificate
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Excellent customer service skills
• Friendly, efficient, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Commitment to outstanding member service
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Bilingual skills a plus
• Professional appearance and demeanor required
• Reliable transportation
• Flexible schedule
• Wine knowledge a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.

Work Environment :

• Stand and walk for long periods of time.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
