Reporting LineReports directly to the Chinese General ManagerRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly reliable and well-organized Business Assistant / GM Assistant to support our Chinese General Manager in Lahore.This role serves as a communication hub and coordination hub between:<ul><li>The Chinese headquarters</li><li>The local Pakistani office team</li><li>Clients and external partners</li></ul>The position is not limited to interpretation. The successful candidate is expected to convert discussions into written action items, coordinate follow-ups, and ensure proper execution and closure of tasks.Key Responsibilities1) Interpretation &amp; External Communication<ul><li>Provide consecutive interpretation (Chinese &harr; English / Urdu) during meetings, calls, and site visits with clients, partners, and suppliers.</li><li>Assist the GM in explaining and clarifying commercial and technical terms with customers.</li><li>Prepare meeting minutes in Chinese, including key decisions, action items, responsible persons, and deadlines.</li></ul>2) Internal Coordination (Local Team &amp; China HQ)<ul><li>Act as the main communication bridge between the Chinese GM and local Pakistani staff.</li><li>Accurately convey the GM&rsquo;s instructions, priorities, and decisions to the local team.</li><li>Collect execution updates and feedback from local staff and report them in Chinese to the GM.</li><li>Track tasks, follow up on deadlines, and ensure proper execution and closure.</li></ul>⸻3) Trade &amp; Order Process Support<ul><li>Assist with inquiries, quotations, samples, and order coordination.</li><li>Check and align PI / PO details, delivery schedules, and payment terms.</li><li>Coordinate with China-based sales, factory, logistics, and finance teams.</li><li>Maintain customer and project tracking sheets.</li></ul>4) Office &amp; Operations Support<ul><li>Support the daily operations of the Lahore office.</li><li>Coordinate with local service providers (logistics companies, customs brokers, drivers, suppliers).</li><li>Organize basic administrative documents, contracts, and expense records.</li><li>Help build and maintain simple internal workflows and templates.</li></ul>Candidate ProfileMust-Have Requirements<ul><li>Pakistani national, able to work long-term in Lahore.</li><li>Fluent spoken Chinese, capable of handling business interpretation.</li><li>Fluent English; Urdu required; Punjabi is a plus.</li><li>Basic understanding of international trade (e.g., PI, PO, delivery time, payment terms, logistics).</li></ul>Preferred Background<ul><li>Experience working in a Chinese company, trading company, or overseas representative office.</li><li>Experience as an assistant, coordinator, interpreter, or sales support.</li><li>Strong note-taking, organization, and follow-up skills.</li><li>Execution-oriented, reliable, and detail-conscious.</li><li>Able to handle confidential business information with discretion.</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Experience in solar / energy / industrial products.</li><li>Driving license and willingness to travel within Pakistan when required.</li><li>Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience and language capability.</li><li>Direct exposure to Chinese management and international business operations.</li><li>Clear development path toward Office Coordinator or Business Coordinator.</li><li>High level of responsibility and fast learning curve.</li></ul>Application ProcessCandidates should submit:<ul><li>CV in English or Chinese</li></ul>Shortlisted candidates will be asked to:<ul><li>Complete a short Chinese interpretation test</li><li>Participate in a simple coordination / follow-up task simulation</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
