Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Referral Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team. In this critical role, you will ensure seamless coordination of patient referrals and insurance authorizations, helping to deliver timely, high-quality patient care.The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and knowledgeable in insurance processes, with a strong commitment to accuracy and patient satisfaction.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate and process patient referrals to specialists, facilities, and ancillary services</li><li>Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to scheduled services</li><li>Obtain, track, and manage prior authorizations and referrals in accordance with payer requirements</li><li>Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure continuity of care</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system</li><li>Monitor and follow up on pending referrals and authorizations to prevent delays in patient care</li><li>Assist patients with insurance-related questions, providing clear and helpful guidance</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate&rsquo;s degree preferred)</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in healthcare administration, referrals, or insurance coordination</li><li>Working knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid)</li><li>Experience with EHR/EMR systems</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service abilities</li><li>Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Experience with prior authorizations and referral management workflows</li><li>Basic understanding of medical billing and coding</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a patient-centered approach</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
